MONEYREA Young Farmers' Club's most recent meeting took the form of a split meeting in which half of the members enjoyed having lots of fun on Scalextrics and the other half enjoyed a beetle drive in the club hall.
Everyone had a great night. Those who didn't get to do the Scalextrics will get an opportunity at the next meeting.
Congratulations go to James Townley who got placed in the 16-18 age group of the prepared public speaking competition; Jennifer Town
ley who was placed in the 21-25 age-group of the prepared event, and Frances George who got placed in the 21-25 age-group of the impromptu public speaking competition. All three members will represent the club at the next round of the public speaking competition in Banbridge High School.
Moneyrea's next club meeting, on Tuesday, October 28, is 'Fairground Attraction,' at Planet Fun in Belfast. Members are asked to meet in the church car park at 7.15pm and to bring money for the rides. This will be lots of fun, so bring a friend.
Senior members are reminded that the 'Freaky Friday' tickets are in and they should pay Valerie as soon as possible.
Members' attention is drawn to the County Down dinner on Friday, November 21, at the La Mon Hotel. For tickets, contact Amy.
Anyone wishing to go to St. Trinian's in the Coach Inn, Banbridge, on Monday, December 22 , should contact Amy.
