Lylehill members entertain

LYLEHILL Young Farmers' Club held its annual parents' and friends' night recently in Lylehill Presbyterian Church.
Compere was Joe Graham, past president of the Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster.
Parents and friends enjoyed an entertaining night which included sketches, poems, singing and a final Arts Festival performance of 'Spooky Goings On.'
Supper was provi
ded and the inevitable 'Scandal Sketch' ended the evening.
Club leader, Jayne Harkness, thanked everyone who participated to make the evening a success and expressed her thanks to anyone who had helped the Lylehill club in the past year.
Prize-winners were:
Stockjudging, dairy, over-16: Stephanie McCollam. Dairy, under-16: Andrew Patterson.
Beef, over-16: John Healy.
Sheep, over-16: Christina McCollam. Best under-16 judge: Andrew Patterson. Best new judge: Lorraine and Brian Taylor. Best lady judge: Christina McCollam.
Farm safety and quad handling: Gents' farm safety: John Healy. Ladies' farm safety: Christina McCollam.
Gents' over-21, quad handling: Craig Campbell. Under-21 quad handling: John Healy.
Ladies' quad handling: Ashley Duncan. Best overall: John Healy.
Ladies' safe driving: Caroline Sherrad. Gents' safe driving: Christopher Heaney.
Public speaking, 12-14: Ryan McCoy; 14-16: Stephen Leitch; 16-19: Stephanie McCollam; 19-25: Caroline Sherrad.
Impromptu public speaking: Stephanie McCollam.
Soil assessment: Overall, Emma Minford, Ashley Duncan and Judith Patterson.
Craft competition: Christina McCollam.
Silage assessment competition: Andrew Mackey
Ulster Young Farmer: John Healy and John Wallace.
Under-16, Ulster Young Farmer: Scott Logan.
Best new member: Alana Dickson and Robyn Millar.
Best under-16 member: Andrew Patterson. Best 16-21 member: John Healy.
Best over-21 member: Kathy Graham.
Proficiency badges were awarded to Allison Wilson, Andrew Patterson and Ryan McCoy.
County cups were for the Digger Challenge - Katrina Chambers, Ashley Lamont and Allister McConnell.
16-18 group debating: Stephanie McCollam, Christina McCollam and Carolyn Wilson.
The Arts Festival Award and Choir Festival Award were also presented.
The Lylehill club is holding an Easter Monday disco in the Tullyglass Hotel, starting at 9pm., and it promises to be a night not to be missed.
