MONEYREA Young Farmers' Club's most recent meeting took the form of a 'Paint Dance' night. Junior members enjoyed dancing to the music and getting messy with the paint. Everyone had lots of fun and the evening ended with supper.
Congratulations are extended to Frances George and Amy Hill who got placed in the craft demonstration competition.

Senior members are reminded that the Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster annual conference is this weekend, in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle. On Friday night, the County Down Committee is staging a 'Carry-on themed' pre-conference dance in the Slieve Donard at 9pm till late with the conference dinner dance on Saturday night. These events are only open to over 18s.
The next club meeting is on Tuesday, April 22, in the form of a trip to the Funny Farm in Castlewellan. This is the final club meeting of the 2008/09 winter programme. Members are asked to meet in Moneyrea at 6:15pm. This promises to be an enjoyable night and a fun way to end the winter programme. Come along and bring a friend.
Ballygowan PWA is holding an 'Evening of Drama' with Moneyrea YFC and Ballywalter YFC. This will take place on Saturday, April 26, in Ballygowan Church Halls at 7:45pm. Moneyrea's one-act play is called 'A Bride for Heather Hill,' starring Frances George, Johnny Connolly, Valerie Orr and James Gilpin. A light supper will be provided.
Tickets will be available from committee members or on the night. Please come along and show your support for the club.
A bus has been organised for Ballywalter YFC's barbecue on Saturday, May 24, leaving the Chestnut Inn at 9:15pm. It's for over 18s only and anyone wishing to go should contact Amy to book a seat.
