STRAID YFC members have really been catching the eye at young farmer's events this summer thanks to their new rugby shirts which where unveiled recently. The new shirts incorporate a new club badge that was designed by former club member, Steven Heaney.

The club are indebted to their sponsors for their support; Ulster Bank, J A Lyttle & Son Plant Hire and Ross's Joint Butchers, Ballyclare.
Straid members have been out in force at young farmer's sports nights and barbeques this summer and have enjoyed quite a bit of success already with the under 18 football team winning at Coleraine sports night and the over 18 team winning at Kilraughts sports night and also at the NI YFC football competition in Ballymoney. Straid members along with other local clubs also took part in a 'farmyard olympics' as part of the Larne Alive event at Carnfunnock Country Park. The young farmers' activities proved popular with the crowds enjoying the wonderful sunshine.
The first summer club meeting will be on Tuesday 29th July, when members will head to Browns Bay for beach games and a BBQ. All members new and old are welcome, for more information on upcoming events or becoming a member please contact Jenni 07703725798 or Carolyn 07742259459 or visit www.bebo.com/coolcountryfolk
