THE Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) drama dinner recently took place at the Leighinmohr House Hotel, Ballymena to celebrate the success of the association's drama season.
Sponsored by the NFU Mutual Insurance Society Limited, the YFCU One Act and Three Act drama festivals took place in venues throughout Northern Ireland and showcased the talent that exists within the association. Each of the evenings were a great success and well supported by the public.
At the drama dinner the results of the adjudication of all the plays were revealed. The adjudicators commented that they were very impressed with the overall standard of all the performances and congratulated all the members and producers for all their hard work and enthusiasm.
The results of the One Act and Three Act are as follows:
One Act Results:
Perpetual Challenge Cup, Coleraine YFC – The Church Meeting;
2nd place, Finvoy YFC – Last Respects;
3rd place, Killinchy YFC – Whats for Pudding.
The NFU Mutual Trophy Best Producer award was won by Roger McCracken of Ballywalter Junior YFC for their production The Church Meeting.
Most Promising Actor, Martyn Blair – Finvoy YFC Last Respects;
Most Promising Actress, Donna Garrett – Killinchy YFC What's for Pudding?
Best Set, Finvoy YFC Last Respects.

Most Promising Actor: Aaron Graham - Lisnamurrican YFC - Alec Galbraith in Wedding Fever;
