Redrock Machinery at Irish Ploughing Match

“There is a steady market for our standard ranges of both pumps and tankers,” said Redrock sales manager Mark Linden.

“However, we have recently received an increase in the number of requests for specifically designed and manufactured vacuum tankers.

“A case in point was the recent order placed by an agricultural contractor in England for two 4,000 gallon, tri axle tankers. Also included in the specification was full air suspension, a front lifting axle and rear axle steering.

“The tankers, which were delivered a number of weeks ago, are being used to transport and spread digestate from an AD plant.

“We are delighted to be involved in specialised projects of this nature.”

Mark also confirmed that Redrock will have a major presence at next week’s Irish Ploughing Match.

“The event represents a shop window for us within our home market. Farmers and contractors in Northern Ireland give us tremendous support. Above all else, they recognise the quality of the products we manufacture and the innovation we bring to bear in developing a machinery range that meets the specific requirements of local agriculture.”

Redrock will feature a comprehensive range of equipment on its stand, including a 2050 gallon vacuum tanker; an 180/14.5 grain trailer, a 20 cubic metre dual axle paddle diet feeder and a 14 cubic metre single auger tub feeder.

“We will also be profiling a selection of shear grabs, grass forks and the new Redrock straw blower,” added Mark Linden.

The company’s C300 straw chopper and bale feeder is a trailed machine, which has been designed for feeding and bedding.

It provides a means of transport to the distribution site for loose fodder –including clamp silage – plus all types of hay, straw and silage bales. The C300 has been specifically designed for the UK and Irish markets.

The new machine can be operated by tractors with upwards of a 65hp rating. It has a 3 metre cubed capacity and will handle both round and square bales. It features a self-loading rear door. When operational, the C300 can handle two round bales: one in the chopping chamber and the other on the rear door, the upward movement of which pushes bales towards the chopping knives. The C300 can spread straw up to 18 metres from the chopping point.
