Bullocks selling to a top price of £1,450 at Swatragh Mart

Weekly cattle sale: Another great show of over 150 cattle was presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Monday 26th April which resulted in another exceptional trade for all types of stock on offer.

Bullocks sold to a top price of £1,450 for a 634kg Limousin at £2.29 per kg and to a top of £3.08 per kilo for a Limousin 438kg at £1,350.

Heifers sold to a top price of £1,360 for a 580kg Charolais at £2.34 per kg and to a top of £2.87 per kilo for a Charolais 258kg at £740.

An excellent show again of over 1,000 sheep were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Saturday 24th April, 500 cull ewes were offered for sale and were an excellent trade topping at £195.

Over 500 lambs were presented for sale, which was also met with a super trade, lambs topped at £150.00 for heavy sorts.

Spring lambs were a solid trade with a batch of 42 at 20.5kg selling at £135.00 (£6.59 ppk).
