Bullocks selling to a top price of £1,480 at Swatragh Mart

Weekly cattle sale: Another great show of over 110 cattle was presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Monday 19th April which resulted in another outstanding trade for all types of stock on offer.

Bullocks sold to a top price of £1,480 for a 660kg Limousin at £2.24 per kg and to a top of £3.00 per kilo for a Charolais 290kg at £870.

Heifers sold to a top price of £1,420 for a 622kg Charolais at £2.28 per kg and to a top of £2.59 per kilo for a Limousin 370kg at £960.

A lot more stock required to meet demand.

1 ewe with 2 lambs at foot to £312. 1 ewe with 1 lamb at foot to £283.

Thursday evenings sale produced a fantastic trade for 650 sheep that were presented at the weekly breeding sheep sale.

Weekly sheep sale

Spring lambs to £152.50, hoggets to £154 and fat ewes to £166.

An excellent show again of over 1,200 sheep were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Saturday 17th April, 550 cull ewes were offered for sale and were an excellent trade topping at £166.

Over 600 lambs were presented for sale, which was also met with a super trade, lambs topped at £154.00 for heavy sorts.

Spring lambs were a fantastic trade with a batch of 4 at 23.25kg selling at £152.50 (£6.56 ppk).
