The driver and passenger of the vehicle did not sustain any serious injuries, however, it is understood there were a number of cattle trapped inside the trailer following the collision.
A vet was called to the scene as a rescue mission got underway to free the animals.
A police spokesperson commented: “Police responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a cattle trailer in the area of Gosford Road, Markethill, shortly before midday today, Tuesday 28 June.
