Heifers selling to £1,870 at Swatragh

Bullocks sold to a top price of £1,460 for a 622kg Hereford at £2.35 per kg and to a top of £2.87 per kilo for a 366kg Charolais at £1,050.

Heifers sold to a top price of £1,870 for a 866kg Limousin at £2.16 per kg and to a top of £2.66 per kilo for a 410kg Limousin at £1,090.

Fat cows were also an outstanding trade topping at £2.21 per kilo for a Limousin 692kg at £1,530.

A lot more stock required to meet demand with a large number of buyers attending both at ringside and online.

Weekly sheep sale - Lambs to £170 and fat ewes to £160.

An exceptionally strong seasonal show of 1,750 sheep were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Saturday 23rd July. 505 cull ewes were offered for sale and were a solid trade topping at £160.00. 1,200 lambs were presented for sale, which was met with a reduced trade. Lambs topped at £170.00 for heavy sorts.
