Last few days to submit 2021 Single Application

With only a few days remaining to the 17 May deadline for submitting the 2021 Single Application, Agriculture Minister, Edwin Poots MLA is urging farmers who have not yet taken any action, to act now and submit their Single Application without delay.

The deadline for submitting Single Applications without penalty is midnight on 17 May 2021. Failure to submit an application will result in a farmer not receiving their payment this year.

Minister Poots said: “It is encouraging to note that to date approximately 16,000 Single Applications have been submitted to my Department. I am pleased that so many farmers have already completed their applications for 2021. I’m encouraging those farmers who have not as yet submitted an application, to please do so before 17 May to avoid a financial penalty.”

Minister Poots added that his departmental staff remain available to assist farmers with their applications.

“Staff within my department stand ready to offer assistance to farmers through the enhanced Advisory Service, which is available Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. This service will now be extended over the weekend, operating between 9.00am and 4.00pm until the closing date of the application window on 17 May,” he added.

Farmers are reminded that the Single Application is the method for claiming any of the following schemes:

- Basic Payment Scheme (BPS);

- Young Farmers’ Payment (YFP);

- Regional Reserve Entitlement allocation or top up (as a Young Farmer or New Entrant);

- Environmental Farming Scheme (EFS);

- Farm Woodland Premium Scheme (FWPS);

- Farm Woodland Scheme (FWS);

- Forest Expansion Scheme (Annual Premia);
