Members enjoy visit to the North West

It is hard to believe that just over two years ago we were on the bus with friends and family from the Mid and West Antrim groups heading for our annual day trip in the North West.

We visited Derryduff Farm where host Wesley Semple, showed us around his progressive dairy farm and gave us the chance to ask him plenty of questions.

After lunch we headed to Fleming Agri Products where we had a look at all the latest machinery and tried to talk each other into needing a new mower or tanker!

While much has changed in the last 14 months and the Ulster Farmers’ Union has continued to offer a varied programme of online webinars covering everything from farm tours to food policy, it’s just not the same as being able to see our members and friends for a day’s craic. The popularity of the online webinars will mean that while we hope to continue them on into the future, they are no replacement for our face to face events and we hope we will get back to days like the one in the pictures in the not too distant future. Until then, stay safe.
