Outstanding trade for stock at Swatragh

A great show of 80 quality cattle were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Monday 9th May which resulted in an outstanding trade for all types of stock on offer.

Bullocks sold to a top price of £1,450 for a 594kg Char at £2.44 per kg and to a top of £3.05 per kilo for a Lim 364kg at £1,110.

Heifers sold to a top price of £1,570 for a 572kg Lim at £2.74 per kg and to a top of £2.86 per kilo for a Sim 210kg at £600.

Fat Cows were also an outstanding trade topping at £2.11 per kilo for a 616kg Char at £1,300.

A lot more stock required to meet demand with a large number of buyers attending both at ringside and online.

A seasonal show of 870 sheep were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Saturday 7th May. 397 cull ewes were offered for sale and were a solid trade topping at £238.00. 462 lambs were presented for sale, which was also met with a solid trade. Lambs topped at £136.00 for heavy sorts. Spring Lambs topped at £136.00.
