Raphoe Mart: Fat cows sold from €670/head to €1540/head

Sheep sale Monday 22nd March 2021: There was a good entry of sheep this week with a great trade for all sheep on offer with a near total clearance.

Hoggets sold at:

€100 to €120 for 30-36 kgs.

€120 to €140 for 36-42 kgs.

€140 to €160 for 43-46 kgs.

€160 to €175 for 47-55 kgs.

Fat ewes sold from €80 to €170.

Ewes with 1 lamb sold from €150 to €225.

Ewes with 2 lambs sold from €220 to €325.

Cattle sale Thursday 25th March 2021: There was a great entry of cattle at Raphoe Mart this week.

Some super bullocks on offer sold to a flying trade selling up to €1000 over.

Aberdeen Angus bullocks sold up to €2.50/kg for strong stores.

Bulls sold consistently from €2.20/kg to €2.50/kg for feeding bulls and lighter store bulls sold up to €2.80/kg.

Store heifers were in great demand with brisk bidding from €2.20/kg to €2.80/kg.

Limited numbers of forward store heifers left these in great demand selling from €2.10/kg to €2.60/kg.

Bullocks sold from €1.80/kg to €2.70/kg.

Bulls sold from €1.90/kg to €2.80/kg.

Heifers sold from €1.90/kg to €2.80/kg.

Fat cows sold from €670/head to €1540/head.

Top class bulls over 600 kgs - €730 to €935 over.

Beef bullocks - €730 to €1000 over.

Store bullocks - €400 to €905 over.

Beef heifers - €450 to €900 over.

Store heifers - €350 to €615 over.

Weanling sale on Tuesday 30th March 2021 - Intake from 3.30pm and sale at 6.30pm.
