Riverdale Ram tops the Ballymena sale

The Charollais Ram Sale in Ballymena Livestock Market met with great demand resulting in a high clearance rate.

Topping the sale was a super April born Shearling from the Riverdale Flock of Norman McMordie, sired by Rockdale Tornado and out of a Castellau One In A Million sired Dam. This performance recorded ram sold for 900gns.

Another Tornado son from this pen sold for 550gns. George

and Jason Booth sold their Stock Ram Hollylodge Titan for 650gns, an Edstaston San Miguel son. Ian Goudy achieved a top of 550gns and 500gns for two strong Knockin Paparazzi sons. The Hillside pen of Alistair Moore also sold to a top of 550gns for a Rhaeadr Tradesman son with David Mawhinney selling at 520gns for an Artnagullion Trojan son, 12 Shearlings averaging 525gns.

In the Ram lambs Ian Goudy’s Cardoonan pen was once again in demand, selling to a top of 580gns for Foulrice Theodore son, Ian averaging 466gns for five, all sired by Theodore. The Ballyhunsley pen presented by David Anderson sold to 500gns for a Hillside sired ram.

Also selling to a top of 500gns was a Ballynoe House Nelson ram from the Fegarron Pen of Derek Bell, 32 ram lambs averaging 370gns.
