The team is still available, and most are working from home so if you want to speak to the group please call the office as normal on 02837551612.

The group appreciate your support and patience.

For the group 2020 started with a trip to Tayto Castle in Tandragee, the group were treated to a guided tour of the factory facility.

It was great to be able to see and hear how a family business has grown over the years.

The hospitality shown by our tour guides was brilliant, thank you for the hospitality.

At the final meeting in February John Egerton from Co Fermanagh was joined by Seamus McMenamin from the LMC.

A large attendance heard how John manages his suckler herd and is planning for the sustainable future of the farm for himself and his sons.

Running a suckler herd of 90 cows, John sells in-calf heifers as replacements and takes everything else through to finishing.

He also contract rears dairy heifers, and recently built a calf rearing shed to rear calves.

Seamus spoke about the current activities the LMC are involved and the challenges that the meat industry is facing including veganism.

Thankyou to all our speakers who attended the group meetings throughout the 2019-20 programme.

Hopefully meetings will commence again in October but in the meantime everybody stay safe and well.
