OBITUARY KEN WILKINSON:

It is with deep regret and sincere sadness that I have to report to the fancy of the sad passing of my life long buddy and icon Mr Ken Wilkinson. Ken sadly passed away on Thursday, March 11. Having been diagnosed with a life threatening lung complaint Ken’s attitude was always: “I won’t go a minute before my time and I will give it a good fight.” Ken fought hard with great dignity and sadly lost the battle on March 11. Ken was a man of high standards and served the pigeon fraternity to the best of his ability, fighting many planning issues for many fanciers with great success.

His charitable efforts cannot go without mention and many thousands of pounds were raised over the years for many notable causes. Ken served as NIPA president up to his death, another post that he held and served greatly.

Sincere condolences to wife Eileen and the entire Wilkinson family circle at this sad time. I, myself, have lost my best mate and icon and Ken will never be forgotten by me - New Kid On The Block.

KEN WILKINSON

It is sincere sadness that we were informed of the sad passing of our good friend, Mr Ken Wilkinson. Having known Ken we always found him to be a fair and decent man who was available to help anyone who required him. Gone but will never be forgotten by ourselves , Malachy and Mark Maguire, Newry
