YFCU to host antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and biosecurity Q&A event

The YFCU have teamed up with DAERA to host a live question and answer event focusing on AMR and biosecurity which will be held on Wednesday, July 1 at 7.30pm.

The event will be co-hosted by Jim Blee, DAERA deputy director of animal health and welfare policy and Jessica Pollock, YFCU A&R committee chair.

The panellists for the evening consist of Seamus Camplisson (head of health protection branch, Department of Health), Cathal Carr (AVSPNI president), Robert Huey (chief veterinary officer) and Colin Smith (industry development manager, Livestock and Meat Commission NI).

The aim of the question and answer event is to:

To raise awareness of antimicrobial resistance (AMR);

To build working relationships with DAERA Veterinary Service and Animal Health Group;

To further raise the awareness of the need for good biosecurity on farms.

The event is open to all and completely free to attend.

With the online format viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions from the floor; both directly and/or through the hosts for the evening.
