YFCU presidential team elected at virtual AGM
The YFCU AGM had over 130 members attend virtually.
The YFCU would like to thank all the members for attending and supporting the YFCU AGM.
The AGM began with an overview of the year from the president, Zita McNaugher.

She said: “The past 12 months have been challenging for all members of the YFCU but I am extremely proud of the way our members, staff and judges have adapted.
“We have continued to compete and meet virtually and while it hasn’t been a normal year, it certainly has been memorable.
“I’d like to thank all our members and staff team for all their hard work and enthusiasm and support. I look forward to seeing the YFCU restarting under the direction of Peter and his new team.”

YFCU treasurer
The honorary treasurer Mr Bob Esler presented the YFCU accounts at the organisation’s AGM.

He said that the YFCU had seen a significant reduction in revenue from events which were either cancelled or postponed over the last year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He highlighted the importance of the core funders and sponsors and thanked them for their continued support during the pandemic.
He concluded that the YFCU looked forward to returning to normality as soon as restrictions are relaxed and running a full schedule of events for all the members.

The new presidential team was counted and announced at the YFCU AGM.

The YFCU would like to congratulate Peter Alexander from Glarryford YFC on being elected as the new president of the YFCU.
He said: “I’m delighted to be elected president of the YFCU. I would like to thank Zita for the excellent work she has done as president over the last two years.
“Especially over the last 12 months during the Covid-19 pandemic as it has been difficult on all members.
“I look forward to actively getting involved with the new Presidential team to help support and work towards new challenges and progress the YFCU for future generations.”

The YFCU would like to congratulate Stuart Mills from Moneymore YFC who has been elected as deputy president of the YFCU.
The YFCU are extremely proud to see members such as Stuart progress through the organisation.
Stuart is a dedicated member of the YFCU and was vice president previous to taking on his new role as deputy president.
The YFCU would also like to welcome four elected vice presidents to the presidential team, Adam Alexander, Richard Beattie, Hannah Kirkpatrick and Lynne Montgomery.

The YFCU would like to congratulate Lynne Montgomery, Richard Beattie and Hannah Kirkpatrick on being re-elected onto the presidential team and big congratulations to Adam Alexander on being newly elected as vice president.
The YFCU are looking forward to seeing all the great new changes and challenges that come from the new presidential team for the whole the YFCU organisation.
