High staff absence ends in NI school asking some pupils to study at home

The entire Year 11 at an NI school campus has been asked to study from home due to a high level of staff abensce.

Craigavon Senior High School said the school’s Year 11 pupils in the Portadown campus should study from home today.

Posting on Facebook the school said: “Due to a high staff absence this morning we are asking that year 11 students on our Portadown campus study from home today.

“School is open as normal for our year 12 Portadown students and our Lurgan campus is open as normal.

Students who receive free school meals are entitled to come to school at 12.15 and avail of this. (Please let school know by 11am if your child will be attending)

Work will be available on Google classroom for students. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
