Equine Students from CAFRE’s Enniskillen Campus recently had an opportunity to visit the Cavan International Horse Show on 4 November 2015 as part of a wider educational visit programme.

A number of the first years studying on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management programme went on an educational visit to watch some top class jumping at their International Show.

The first year students, who are studying for a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management, took part in this visit to Cavan Equestrian Centre under their ‘Tack and Equipment’ module and ‘Prepare Horses for Presentation’ module.

As it was an educational visit students were to observe different items of tack, and also how horses and riders were presented for competition. These observations were then discussed in classes on their return to the Campus.

During their time in Cavan the students were able to watch the 1m10 class during.

Of course the day was not all work; no trip to Cavan would be complete without a little bit of shopping in the Cladem Kingsland store and also a curry chip from the restaurant.

The students returned home, educated, fed and having completed a little bit of retail therapy.
