Ards Riding Club held the penultimate round of their summer show jumping competitions last Wednesday.

As the competitions draw to a close, excitement mounts as competitors wait to see who will win the three trophies kindly provided by the Robinson family for the higest place combination of rider/horse over the five weeks.

Northern Ireland Riding Club’s Show Jumping Championships

It was the turn of Ards to organise the Riding Club’s Show Jumping Championships.

These were held at The Meadows on Sunday, 21st June.

Ards were represented by Ellie Consiglia and Sonny and Regan McKee and Cleo in the Junior Novice and Regan McKee and Roscor Freedom (Willow) in the Junior Open.

It was a strong course and sadly both just missed qualifying for the jump off in the Novice but congratulations to Regan and Roscor Freedom for their win in the Open class. Well done to both riders.

The Club would like to thank Liaison Secretary
Betty Gaston for all her help in organising the Competition and Maureen Lowry and Sylvia Nicholl, the judges for the day.

Thanks too to course builder Ray Bucanan and everyone who helped on the day.
