The National Pony Society Area 32 ‘springs’ into action with the launch of its 2015 showing season.

Opening the season is the NPS Area 32 Spring Show on Saturday 18 April 2015 at Knockagh View Equestrian Centre, Greenisland, BT38 8RP, by kind permission of Ruth Wilson and kindly sponsored by Brookvale Stud.

The show is one of the early shows of the season and provides a great opportunity to get ridden and in hand ponies out in advance of the prestigious Northern Ireland Festival Show.

The schedule includes a full range of in-hand and ridden classes to suit all levels of competitors and ponies.

As usual the NPS have secured two highly respected judges to perform the task of judging the many exhibitors. Firstly Mrs Ro Rennock from Essex, an NPS & Ponies Association UK, Riding and Hunter Pony Breeding panel judge. Looking after the Mountain and Moorland ponies is Mrs Christine Stevenson, from Kent, an NPS Mountain and Moorland and Highland Pony Society breed judge.

The 2015 Spring Show will host a wide range of qualifiers for the National Pony Society Summer Championship Show at Malvern from the 4th-6th August 2015 and on the local front, qualifiers for the NPS Area 32 Championship Show to be held at Clogher Valley on the 29 July 2015.

Complimenting the qualifiers on offer is the opportunity for early qualification through to the N.I. Association of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society’s Diamond Championship Show on the 9 July 2015 at the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan.

The Area 32 Spring Show is run under the National Pony Society rules which can be viewed at

Reminder: all ridden stallions MUST display a stallion bridle marker. It is recommended that in-hand stallions also display a bridle marker. Stallion markers are available from the NPS office at a price of £2 each including p&p. (a small supply will be available for sale at the Spring Show).
