Mule ewe lamb sale, Tuesday, September 17, 2019: The second annual show and sale of Mule ewe lambs at Ballymena Mart attracted an excellent entry of 1456 lambs and resulted in a much better trade than anticipated returning an average of £90 per head.

Leading the trade was David Anderson Kilwaughter who received the top price of £138 for a pen of 14 and David also won the show with this pen realizing £135 per head.

A similar price of £135 was also paid to Michael Smyth Limavady.

Fat lambs sold to 345p for a pen of 21kg BelTexel at £72.50 offered by Brendan Ward, Glenarm and to a top per head of £78 for a pair of Mules from Sandra Hunter, Bushmills.

Fat ewes sold to £77.

A show and sale of Mule ewe lambs was held which was judged by Brendan Kelly.

First was awarded to Sandra Hunter for her pair of lambs and Sandra also winning with her pen of lambs.
