An entry of 500 store cattle and weanlings at Markethill on Saturday, 14th March sold in another excellent demand with a packed ringside of both local and export buyers.

HEIFERS

The 170 store heifers sold in a very firm trade. Middleweight to £245 for 388k at £950 with all quality lots from £200 to £240 per 100 kilos. Forward heifers to £216 for 560k Lim at £1210. The 70 cull cows sold in a very firm trade with Friesian cows in particularly good demand. Fleshed friesians from £109 to £117 for 590k at £690. Younger friesians from £125 to £138 for 500k at £690.
