All set for Fermanagh Show

The Fermanagh Farming Society have finalised preparations for their show which gets underway this evening (Tuesday, August 4) and continues on Wednesday, August 5.

This show takes place at the showgrounds adjoining the Ulster Farmers’ Mart and Exhibition Centre, Tempo Road, Enniskillen.

Fermanagh Show has lots to offer, showcasing the best of the breeds in classes and numerous championships across Cattle, Sheep, Dogs Poultry and Home Industries and the Arts.

Danske Bank Artisan Foodhall Special opening

This part of the show has attracted new food businesses with specialist’s local products. It is sponsored by Danske Bank with O’Doherty Fine Meats sponsoring the Cookery Demonstrations, including chefs Paula McIntyre & Joe Kelly.

Home Industries:

Organisers are delighted to have been presented with two new crystal trophies by Mallard Home Bakes in the Cookery Section.

Vintage Section:

The vintage seciton has attracted new sponsorship this year from Euro Auctions.

NI Texel Club points show has increased entries in sheep section.


Class prize money in cattle sections is £100 per class. Exhibitors plenty of scope to compete for a slice of the £20,000 prize fund plus the additional prize money to be won in the NISA & ISA qualifiers and finals.

Intermediate/ Senior Class

Championship class sponsored by Natural Nutrition Ltd

These classes and championship include the breed champion and reserves, the Fermanagh Pedigree Breeders Native and Continental Champions and Reserve Champions, and the 1st and 2nd prize winners for the Interbreed Pedigree Calf and Intermediate/ Senior Pedigree Classes. Resulting in a line-up of 14 – 18 of the top pedigree beef cattle in the show. As the last show of the season in Northern Ireland we expect this line up to turn a few heads.
