East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell has encouraged local farmers to attend one of a series of ‘rural roadshows’ organised by Diane Dodds MEP.
The meeting, to be held in the Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush on 19th March will also be addressed by DARD officials regarding how the new Common Agricultural Policy will be implemented in Northern Ireland.
A question and answer session will give farmers an opportunity to raise individual concerns.
Mr Campbell said: “Reform of the CAP is obviously of huge importance to local farmers. The outworkings of that reform are now reaching farmers on the ground and there are many who have questions about how this will affect their business. This meeting, organised by my colleague Diane Dodds MEP will update and clarify the policy which will take effect in Northern Ireland.”
