The Charolais calf has proved itself over and over again at the Suckled Calf Shows to top the beef breeds on price and weight in sale rings around the province. Charolais crosses are consistent in returning a higher price all the time giving a higher daily weight gain. It is far more profitable to use a Charolais sire on your suckler herd – you have only to look at market reports week on week for the evidence.

Moore Concrete has had many years’ association with the NI Charolais Club. This relationship has been further boosted by the precast manufacturer’s commitment to sponsor the annual breed show and sale in Ballymena. “We are delighted to have the opportunity of supporting the sale,” explained Moore’s Keri McGivern.

“The Charolais breed continues to play a key role at the very heart of the local farming industry. Agriculture is a key sector for Moore Concrete. We manufacture a comprehensive range of concrete products for the industry including wall and Pre-stressed Wall Panels, Bunker Walls, Slats, Cubicle Bases, Foot baths, Water Troughs & Feed Troughs.”
