Coleraine Young Farmers’ Club members have had a very memorable summer.
May: Maxine Smyth, Ruth Adams and Alexandra Deans all gain second place at Balmoral show in the YFCU floral art competition finals.
Also in the Co Londonderry Build It competition the Coleraine YFC team of Ady Nevin, Ryan Adams, Claire Adams and Paul Adams progressed to the finals.
June: Coleraine YFC members helped out on the Open Farm weekend at Graham McIlroy’s farm in Aghadowey.
This was a great day out for young and old and the weather was kind too.
Members also attended lots of barbecues and sport nights held by other YFC clubs.
July: The YFCU stock judging finals were held at Greenmount.
Coleraine YFC members came home with lots of silverware.

Great results and all the hard work paid off.
In the silage assessment finals well done to Paul Adams who gained sixth place.
Coleraine YFC’s summer programme members involved tag rugby practice at Coleraine Rugby Club where Mark Holmes and Gareth McCallum helped members with their game with their great coaching skills.
The Coleraine YFC senior team got through to the finals. Where the Coleraine team progressed to semi-finals but lost to Spa YFC. Well done to the senior team.
August: Coleraine YFC held their annual barbecue.
Thanks to all the hard work members which was put in by the members ensured that it turned out to be a fantastic night with a great crowd and great night’s craic.
A big thank you to everyone who attended.
Members are now looking forward to the winter season with all the competitions and events going on.
