The countdown is on with less than one week to go before the 2015 Irish National Holstein Show.
Organisers have confirmed that 75 entries from more than 20 exhibitors will be competing for the prize fund which boasts more than £4,500.
The evening event takes place on Friday 13th March at the Pedigree Sales Arena, Moira. Judging kicks off at 6.30pm when young Holstein enthusiasts will be put through their paces by showmanship judge Mark Logan from the Bangor-based Clandeboye Estate.
Holstein NI chairman Gaston Wallace said: “The catalogue boasts some of the top genetics available throughout the UK and further afield. This event is a chance for our members to showcase the very best Holsteins in the country, and I’d like to thank the exhibitors for their enthusiasm and support. Once again, we are delighted to welcome exhibitors from the republic of Ireland.”
The livestock classes will get underway at 7.00pm, with judging in the capable hands of Mick Gould from the noted Woodmarsh herd, Grange Farm, Shrewsbury.
“Mick Gould is no stranger to breeders in Northern Ireland, and we are delighted that he has agreed to give up his time to judge the Irish National Holstein Show,” added Gaston Wallace.
