Dairy business, Dale Farm, has achieved two major industry successes in as many weeks. It has just collected 13 Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards for its butter, cheese, yogurt, ice-cream and cream products, following its recent success at the Nantwich International Cheese Show.
This latest impressive set of awards, which recognise the quality of various Dale Farm products, comes immediately after the company lifted 16 awards at the International Cheese Show at Nantwich at the end of July.
“Our range of cheese products is broader than ever, offering the consumer a wide range of choices from first-class Dromona and Loseley cheddars to speciality Ballybrie, Ballyoak and Boilie goat’s cheese from our Fivemiletown range,” said Jason Hempton, commercial director, branded products, Dale Farm.
“Picking up 29 industry awards at these two major industry events is an outstanding achievement, which acts as great boost to our sales drive in Dale Farm, at a time when our hard-working dairy farmer members who supply us need every opportunity to add value to their milk.
“We are proud to be among a group of Northern Ireland food businesses to have been recognised with Great Taste stars – proof that the sector remains committed to excellence,” Jason said.
Dale Farm’s dairy products are distributed across the UK and Ireland. The Great Taste Awards are organised by the UK Guild of Fine Food and are judged by over 400 food experts, from chefs to retailers and food writers.
