Farmer convicted at Dungannon Court

Wesley Nathaniel Crooks, of Pomeroy Road, Cookstown, Co Tyrone, was today (Monday) convicted at Dungannon Magistrates' Court of one charge of failing to notify the movement of seven cattle off his holding and two charges of failing to notify the deaths of bovine animals.

Crooks pleaded guilty and was fined £1,000 plus £15 offender levy.

The case arose, following a cattle identification inspection of his herd by officers from DAERA’s Welfare and Enforcement Branch.
