Gas to the West is a major energy infrastructure project to extend the benefits of natural gas to thousands more homes and businesses in the west of Northern Ireland.
The project will see the delivery of natural gas to eight towns: Coalisland, Cookstown, Derrylin, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Magherafelt, Omagh and Strabane.
This project is being delivered by Mutual Energy and SGN, with an overall investment of £250 million into the local community.
The project is being supported by the Northern Ireland Executive with a contribution of £32 million.
A major and very important consideration in any strategic infrastructure project of this nature is stakeholder and community consultation and Gas to the West are therefore holding a number of public information events to engage with communities and provide an opportunity for interested individuals to ask questions and meet the project team.
