Dungiven YFC had a great start to the new winter season. The club was delighted to welcome many existing and new members to the first club meeting which was a beetle drive. This was an enjoyable evening getting to know everyone.

The next meeting required a head for heights. Dungiven YFC paid a visit to the Foyle Arena indoor climbing wall. All club members had a great night. There has also been a very interesting and informative Mental Health meeting.

Dungiven YFC are looking forward to the rest of their fun filled winter programme which includes paint balling, a YFC exchange night, ten pin bowling and much more. As well as the winter programme, there has been a great deal of interest and participation from the team members in the wide variety of YFCU competitions.

There has been a string of success so far this season. Rachel Simpson was placed third in the 25-30 age group of the Flower Arranging Competition at County Level. Katie Love was placed third in the senior girls section at the YFCU Swimming Gala.

At the County Public Speaking Competition Joanna Mullan was placed first in the 14-16 age group, David Oliver was placed first in the 21-25 age group and Clare Buchanan was also placed first in the 25-30 age group. These members will now represent the club at the public speaking YFCU NI finals which will be held in November.

Assistant Club Leader James Purcell won the NI YFCU Soil Assessment Competition.
