Gareth Corrie followed up his success from the Limousin Calf Show at Balmoral Show by taking the Overall Champion title at Ballymena Show.

Giving Gareth and ‘Black Magic’ a run for their money this week was ‘Annie’ exhibited by Jack Smyth, who was named Reserve Overall at the show.

This heifer also qualified for the Breeding Heifer Championship, sponsored by CJ Scanning, which will be held at the NICCEC on August 21 at the King’s Hall.

The special classes saw the Native Championship, sponsored by Linden Foods, won by Philip Beatty with ‘Clara Bell’. This heifer also carried on her winning streak from Balmoral.

A new face to the Commercial Cattle ring was Bradley Graham and his heifer took the title of Reserve Native Champion and also qualified for the Breeding Heifer Championship in August.

Finally the Ulster Bank Pairs was won by Gareth Corrie with exhibitor Laura Conn taking second place.
