Last of the outdoor sheep sales Cushendun

The annual sale of lambs at Cushendun conducted by J.A.McClelland & Sons attracted an increased entry of 2250 lambs and an excellent trade was recorded in all sections.

The Mule ewe lamb show was judged by Robert Loughridge and sponsored by Glenfarm Supplies. 1st place was awarded to JJ McAllister who also received the top price of £112 per head.

A single show lamb presented by E & P McCormick, Cushendun made £146. Store lambs met a much improved trade and sold to £61 per head paid to P McNeill, Torr for a tremendous pen of Texel lambs.
