The NI Limousin Cattle Club have now released entry forms for their 2016 Suckler Herd Competition.

The Club always look forward to seeing some of the best local commercial Limousin herds across Northern Ireland as it is a great opportunity to highlight and reward the best commercial herds using Limousin bulls and genetics.

Local judge is going to be Thomas Johnston, Toomebridge and he will judge herds prior to the upcoming suckler calf shows and sales to be held in late September.

The Club will award the top thee competitors in each of the two categories:

[A] Herds up to 49 suckler cows (SMALL),

[B] Herds above 50 suckler cows (LARGE) with placed entrants in both categories to receive prizes and awards at the NI Limousin Cattle Club’s Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday 5th November at Tullyglass, Ballymena.

All herds must either have a pedigree Limousin bull or be predominantly using Limousin Ai within their herd.

Entry forms are available from Club Secretary Heather Hume, 44 Maghereagh Rd, Randalstown, Co Antrim, BT41 2EQ; mobile 07850603023 and should be returned with the entry fee of £20 before the closing date Saturday 27th August 2016. The club welcomes all entries.
