An entry of 1030 sheep at Markethill on Wednesday 4th November returned a firmer trade for fat lambs, stores and cull ewes.
Heavy lambs sold from £67 to £70 each, with good quality pens from 270p to 286p per kilo for 24 kilos at £68.50 each.
Middleweight lambs sold from 285p to 297p per kilo with a top of 328p per kilo for 22.9 kilos at £75 each.
Light store lambs sold in an improved trade to a top of 367p per kilo for 12 kilos at £44 each. Main demand sold from 210p to 342p per kilo. Stronger stores sold to 332p per kilo for 18.2 kilos at £60.50 each.
Cull ewes sold to £90 each with all good quality ewes from £70 to £79 each. Plainer ewes sold from £45 to £60 each.
