This year Moneymore Young Farmers’ Club has over 50 active members, with over 15 of these being new members joining the club this year.
There was a great push this year to encourage primary school pupils to get to know about young farmers and how they play an active role and have close relations with the local community.
The first club meeting involved all members, new and returning, to get to know one another by participating in several ‘Young Farmers style’ ice-breakers.
At the second club meeting last week, the club was joined by Robert Shannon and Emma Miller from Kilraughts YFC who gave presentations on their recent exchanges.
Club meetings take place on the first and third Monday of the month at 8pm in Ringsend Orange Hall, just off the dual carriageway.
Any new members are still free to join and see what it’s all about!
Lastly, the club would like to thank EKS Tyres for their continued support and sponsorship to the club and providingmembers with the 2016-2017 club programme.
