The Ballycastle Town Market Group have launched a range of creative weekend workshops in Ballycastle.

An exciting programme of art and craft workshops in Ballycastle will be hosted throughout the year in a range of craft disciplines.

Learn from expert crafters and artists, try a traditional craft or learn something contemporary and quirky.

Ballycastle is a delightful small seaside town on the north-eastern tip of Co Antrim, less than one hour’s drive from Belfast.  Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty and steeped in cultural history, Ballycastle is a perfect central location for exploring some of Ireland’s top tourist attractions such as the Giant’s Causeway World Heritage Site, the stunning North Antrim coastline and the famous Glens of Antrim.

Ballycastle retains a friendly small town feel with coffee shops, restaurants, bars offering traditional Irish music, a seafront promenade, sandy beach, and excellent golf course.

The first set of workshops confirmed include Artisan Chocolate Skills with Geri Martin of the Chocolate Manor on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th  April, Needle Felting with Pat Perritt on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May, and a weekend Photography workshop with Tom McDonnell of North Coast nature and the Northern Ireland School of Falconry, followed by a Landscape day with John O’Neill of Sperrins Photography on the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June.

Contact for more information about each of the workshops, funded by the Coastal Communities Fund and supported by the Heart of the Glens Landscape Partnership scheme.
