It was great to see the support and fantastic amount of money raised at the NI Limousin Cattle Club charity barbecue and auction in September which has been growing further over the last few months with more donations.

The barbecue was a tremendous success, a night for everyone to come along, members and guests, to support a great cause and enjoy the craic. The club strives to raise monies for a charity every year and this year’s club charities were selected as the Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant Association (FHLTA) and Belfast’s City Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Ward both very important to club member Ian Davidson, Larne. Ian who recently underwent a successful lung transplant had to travel to and from the UK with the FHLTA organisation helping other members of his family to come over and stay during his operation and recovery.

Chairman Henry Savage and all the executive committee were delighted to present Ian with the final cheque totalling £12,000 at the recent annual dinner dance at Armagh, City Hotel and this cheque will be split evenly between the two charities.

The NI Limousin Cattle Club would like to thank all members for the support shown, the generosity of items donated for the raffle and sincerely wish the Davidson family all the best wishes in the future.
