The Northern Ireland Charolais Club - Young Breeders Skills Workshops & Stock Judging is sponsored by United Feeds Ltd.
The event will be hosted by WD & JA Connolly, Brigadoon, Ballynahinch, County Down BT24 8YG on Saturday afternoon 23rd May from 2 to 6pm.
It is a great opportunity for young livestock enthusiasts. Ten young breeders will qualify for the UK finals at NEC on 9th July in Birmingham.
The Club is delighted to invite all youth to this event. There are open and confined classes for youth and an open competition for adults.
4 Junior Youth Workshops: 2pm-5pm
- Halter Making
- Clipping and preparation of Stock
- Animal Husbandry & Care by Jubilee Veterinary Practice
- Animal Nutrition by Premier Sponsor United Feeds
There will be three rings of cattle in the competition. Competitors will place the animals in order of preference. The upper age group will give reasons on placing stock as part of their delivery.

Miller Shield under 14years - junior section
Travel Bursary sponsored by United Feeds for NI Teams in 15 yrs – 26 yrs age group.
Teams will be chosen from this age group.
15yrs – 18 years intermediate section
19 years –26 years senior section; with reasons for placements
McAllister Trophy Adult Open Section - 26 yrs of age and over.
Stockjuding Competition 5pm – 6pm followed by a barbecue - Adults £5 Youth go free.
