The National Sheep Association are holding an open meeting for all sheep farmers at AFBI, Hillsborough on Tuesday 17th November at 8.00 pm sharp immediately after the NI Regional Committee AGM.

Please note the entrance gates at Hillsborough will be open from 7.15 pm until 8.30 pm to allow attendees access.

The theme of the evening will be The Future for the Sheep Industry with speakers giving a short presentation followed by question time directed at the panel of speakers who will try to answer queries.

The panel will include well known hill sheep farmer Ian Buchanan who is an experienced sheep farmer, elected Northern Ireland Board Member on The British Wool Marketing Board in 2006, who runs 900 Blackface and Blackface Crosses in a family enterprise.

George Williamson is a member of the agricultural team at Dunbia and will add the sheep meat processing perspective to the panel.

Jonny Farmer (33) is an NSA Next Generation Ambassador 2015 from Ballymena, County Antrim. Splitting his time between farming, contract shearing and landscape gardening means Jonny is never short of work, but his passion is for sheep.

Isaac Crilly won the NSA N.I. Sheep farmer of the Year Award a number of years ago and started taking a more active role on NSA Committee.

For NSA members the AGM starts at 7.30 pm sharp and will include a review of the past year and the election of office bearers for the incoming year.
