Farming Minister Michelle O’Neill has visited the Omagh Agricultural Show.
During the visit, Alan Kyle, Chair of the Tyrone Farming Society, showed the Minister around the exhibits and other attractions at this year’s Omagh show. Over the course of the tour, the Minister took in livestock judging, trade stands and cart displays, and met with local farmers and their families.
During her visit the Minister said: “Each year thousands of people across the North enjoy Country Shows. This is the 175th Omagh show and each year it goes from strength to strength. Omagh Show’s enduring success can be described as a true reflection of the determination and motivation of its supporters throughout the years.”
The Minister added: “I am encouraged by seeing many people from both rural and urban backgrounds coming out in force and supporting their local agricultural show. I commend the organisers for their hard work and dedication to deliver a family day out and I look forward to attending other shows over the summer months.”
