Police have made an appeal for information following a report that a number of cattle had been taken from the Auglish Road area of Scarva.

It is thought the animals, comprising Simmental, Hereford and Aberdeen Angus breeds, were taken sometime between 2pm on July 20th and 7pm the following day (July 21st).

Const. Heaney said: “It is thought a cattle trailer was used in this theft, and we are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour in and around the area to call police on the 101 number quoting reference 1207 of 21.7.16.”
