Taaffe Auctions has confirmed that 150 cattle will come under the hammer at its monthly dairy auction in Dungannon.
The catalogue for the sale on Thursday 24th November includes an entry of 75 fresh calved heifers and cows from many of the Province’s leading pedigree Holstein herds, and a selection of non-pedigree calved heifers from County Armagh herd owners G McHenry and Messrs N and S Greenaway.
Rounding off the sale is the dispersal of the Rglebe Herd, consisting of 50 fresh calved heifers and cows, and 20 heifer calves, on behalf of Alwyn Loane from Enniskillen.
The pre-sale show gets underway at 11.00am and is generously sponsored by Danske Bank. Judge for the event is HYB member Mark Henry from the noted Mostragee Herd based at Stranocum in North Antrim. The sale will commence at noon prompt.
Pedigree Holstein Herds featured in the catalogue include Ards, Ardmore, Bannwater, Carrowcroft, Cluntagh, Derrydorragh, Garaba, Happy, Killane and Simlahill.
Also on offer are 27 heifers and cows from the noted Relough prefix owned by Ronald McLean and Sons, Donaghmore.
