Spa Young Farmers are holding a quiz night at the Lakeside Inn on Friday November 27.
The quiz starts at 7.30pm and is £5 a head with up to six people in a team.
There will be prizes up for grabs and a supper provided so everyone is encouraged to come along for a good night’s craic.
All the money raised will go towards placing a defibrillator somewhere in the local community with the exact spot to be confirmed.
The Spa men are also taking part in “Grow Mo” in aid of Action Cancer. The big ‘Shave Off’ will take place on Tuesday, December 1, at the old schoolhouse in Spa.
If anyone wishes to donate please feel free to contact club leader David Young on 07769 264 570 or check out the Spa Young Farmers Grow Mo on justgiving.com.
Spa Young Farmers also had a health and safety presentation given by James Speers at the club meeting on November 17.
The night really highlighted the dangers of everyday farming activities and steps we as young farmers can take in order to make it safer for ourselves and our family when working on the farm.
