Holstein Northern Ireland has introduced two showmanship classes to the schedule for the forthcoming Irish National Holstein Show.
The evening event takes place at the Pedigree Sales Arena, Moira, on Friday 13th March, with judging commencing at 6.30pm.
Sponsored by Irwins Feed based at Stilloga Mills, Eglish, near Dungannon, the competition offers free entry to members of the NI Holstein Young Breeders’ Club.
Handlers aged 14-years-old and under are eligible to compete in Class A; while Class B is open to competitors aged 15-years-old and over.
The closing date for entries is Friday 20th February 2015.
“We are delighted to announce details of two showmanship classes,” said Holstein NI chairman Gaston Wallace. “We are very proud of our Holstein Young Breeders’ Club, and we want to encourage them to participate in our annual show. Young breeders taking part in the showmanship classes should also note that their calves will be eligible to compete in the youngstock classes at the show.”
