Slurry is in full flow with SlurryKat

With the current uplift in weather slurry spreaders are in full flow up and down the country as both farmers and contractors take full advantage after what can only be described as one of the worst winters on record.

This year’s slurry season will run up to midnight on 15th September 2018, the start of the closed period for spreading chemical N and P fertiliser to grassland, along with any chemical fertiliser to any land for crops other than grass unless there is a demonstrable crop requirement. Midnight, October 15th is then the start of the closed period for spreading farmyard manure to any land.

Slurry is big business for local Tyrone based, Drumlish Farm Machinery who are Ireland’s approved dealer for SlurryKat.

Since 1994 SlurryKat have grown to become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of slurry solutions and stock an impressive line-up that includes slurry tankers, umbilical systems, agitators, nurse tanks and pumps.

In Northern Ireland farmers and contractors under ‘The Farm Modernisation Grant’ scheme can benefit from financial assistance to allow dribble bars to be fitted to their existing tanker or as a complete new tanker and dribble bar unit.

Drumlish Farm Machinery also stocks SlurryKat’s range of agricultural trailers that includes silage and grain models, low loaders, dump trailers and bale trailers, in addition to shear-grabs and road sweepers.

Similar to SlurryKat, Drumlish Farm Machinery also operate an agricultural contracting business and a working farm, which ensures they provide first hand advice backed up by their onsite service department.
