Special ewe sale held at Hilltown

At Thursday evening’s special ewe sale in Hilltown, in lamb Texel ewes from the Richhill flock sold to 280gns twice, followed by 220gns twice.

The Brague flock had a choice pen of Bluefaced cross Texel ewe lambs in lamb to a Texel. These sold a sharp trade and reached 180gns tweice followed by 170gns twice, 165gns and 150gns. A choice pen of Lanark ewe lambs reached £91

In the store and fat lamb section, stores sold to 394.4p/kg for 14.2kg, making £56, followed by 390.8p/kg for 17.41kgs and £68.

A pen of 13kg lambs reached 346.2p/kg making £45.

Fat lambs reached £70 for a pen of 26.4kg from Dromara, followed by 21.8kgs at £61.50 from a Dromore farm 21.5kgs reached £61.50, 24.5kgs £68.50, 22.4kgs £65.50, 21.5kgs £61.

Fat ewes and rams sold to £90 for a ram with ewes to £71.
